Thanks for the kind words — as someone who relied on music to get through high school (and the ten years after that, and still leans on it pretty heavily today), it’s hard to imagine a more meaningful compliment.

I’m not a professional music critic so I won’t attempt to review the album. I just want to say that I like it a lot. But then, I knew I’d like it because I’ve been listening to most of these songs for several years already. Its been a nice surprise though to discover that most of the mixes on the album are a little different than the ones previously available on the web. In some cases I still prefer the rough cuts, but that might just be because I’m so used to them.

I should mention that Too Much Joy’s music helped me get through high school (no small feat), so Tim and Jay could probably release an entire record of spoken word rantings and I’d buy it, as my appreciation of their creative sensibilities is still that strong. But that fact notwithstanding, I do think Wonderlick is a band that’s worthy of much praise purely on the merits of its thoughtful, catchy and quite often deliciously subversive music.

Sorry I was late to the whole donate-what-you-want party (yet again). I didn’t mean to be too harsh re: the decision to omit “What You Did To Me” & “Nobody Loves You Enough”. I thought those two tracks were obvious contenders for the new album – and not just because they were catchy either.

Can’t wait for the new album.
